You should have done more research before hacking at your bumper. Not as clean as it could have been.

OH yes it does have the Tab. You cant see it cause the crash bar is installed over the cooler.

i'm running buschur UICP, and i probably could get the bumper to fit on that side, but it would have been rubbing the coupler. i don't mind cutting my bumper, guess its not really a huge deal to me. Removing the crash bar was also not a big deal for me....

I had to run the stock LICP cause my 3065 kit did not come in yet, and the candy cane pipe I got with the FMIC wouldnt work with the stock turbo.

I am happy with it

You have tabs on the side of the fmic as well as the top? Mine only has one tab on the top of the fmic.

+1 on NOT hacking my evo 9 bumper and keeping the crash beam. I did some slight trimming on the crash beam, and a very slight trimming on the inner side of the bumper, but nothing noticable at ALL.

I didn't have to remove ANY of my mesh, or cut the crash beam support bracket, or cut any of my front bumper at all to make the Race Core fit. Hmm...

pics of clearances for those that say I need more research.

1. my bumper is touching the piping even with cutting it. the bumper would not go back into place without cutting it. look at these pics, its still touching the couplers even after trimming 1" out. yes, i need to clean the cuts up with a file i know... i will get to it eventually
2. look at the tabs for where the mesh would mount its pretty much touching the intercooler, i could have probably kept the mesh in, but why, especially if its going to be metal rubbing metal.

I think the intercooler fits pretty well for the size of it, and i'm completely happy with it. I would like to see pics of the modded crash bars, cause i cant even imagine it fitting without hacking it up sacrificing its rigidity, which would make it worthless anyway.

You don't need to cut the bumper.

Look here at my write up

It doesn't seem like the IC pushed back far enough against the car. Mine was pretty much touching the radiator support.

BR race core

Glad to see others have posted that

A. The bumper does not need to be removed from the car.
B. The front mesh does not need to be removed from the car.
C. The oil cooler air duct is in the way and can be cut or removed.

Have a BR Race core on my IX RS. Just put one on a IX MR the other day for a guy and it took me an hour total. And thats fighting with the undertray for removal and trimming for reinstallation.

Great IC. I gained 21 hp to the wheels on my dyno AFTER getting the boost to the same level that the stock IC was at.

your intercooler is sitting very far away from your radiator you need to push it in more from its lower part

hhhmm.. I have the BR RACE CORE as well..!

Yeah that IC needs to be pushed back.. and you'll be able to put your crash beam back on.. The only thing I dont have is my undertray..

I will get a better shot but as you can see I have all my Mesh, no trim and I have my crash beam as well.. so it is possible to fit everything nicely back together:

I did not have to trim my air duct at all.

The only thing I trimmer, was the under tray and I also bent the lower bracket which holds the mesh onto the front bumper.
