Just made a big purchase from AMS

So I just bought this car two months ago and I already have the bug to make it as fast as possible. Two weeks ago I bought the parts in my sig and today I just ordered an AMS GT35R turbo kit, 880 injectors, GSC S1 Cams, Exedy Twin Plate HD, and head studs. I should have it on friday and I am hoping to finish putting it all in this weekend. Tomorrow I am ordering an Evo IX bov, throwout bearing, and a head gasket. I think thats everything I need but if anyone can think of anything else please let me know. I was also wondering what 1/4 mile times this car is capable of on 93 oct pump gas and on C16. I already can't wait for Monday

Add a nice Meth kit while your at it and then you should have a car that traps mid to high 120's on pump/meth. If you can drive that's low 11's or somewhere in the 10's.

AMS said the IX BOV would do. "4 Wheel Slide" who is a member on this forum is doing the tune. He also did the tune for the mods on my sig.

First man I would say the 35r lives on high boost and a single walbro and 880s aren't going te be enough, also if your spending all that money for those parts why not buy an ems stand alone unit with map sensor and run speed density with a tial bov that is meant to perform at high boost. Also I would send back those gsc s1 cams with the 35r you want to take advantage of that top end I would say go 272s or 280s if your going to work the valvetrain or motor at all. but good luck anyway though

word up on what the guy above me just said. GSC recommends S2s for 35rs. Your buyin cams that are meant to work with the stock turbo setup.

880's and single walbro will probably be enough as long as he's still on the stock motor, but I agree that they will need to be upgraded to max out the turbo.

like others said, get the s2s instead of the s1s

also, to get the most power out of the 35r is to turn up the boost, which is more than 25 psi. so you should get an upgraded bov because the 9 dv will be maxed out of its efficiency range

That sounds like a pretty quick solution for an extremely fast setup. The advice about getting bigger cams makes good sense. GT35r is really a top end turbo, so don't limit it with cams that wouldn't realize its the potential.

Hey dsmfan my friend had a 35r with a single walbro 880s and meth and couldn't run past 25psi because the idc was 99% so yah if you only plan on running pump you should be fine but uf you ever want to throw 100 or 104 oct and turn up the boost you'd be hurting

He'll be running methanol soon so the 880's will be sufficient.

I agree with the s2's, ams reccomended s1's for more drivability.

the single walbro should be fine for his setup, later he plans on going bigger with the car and at that point the motor will be built along with the addition of the AEM.

Cheers!
