Dead battery....

Well long story short my battery is dead and I need a new one. I'm looking for something that lasts longer than the stocker. Can anyone help me and put me in the right direction? Give me an idea of what to look for. Can I pick up a new one at my local auto parts store?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Buy an optima. Can't really pick one up at your avg parts store. They do last a long time though

you can pick one up at the auto parts store or you can go to the dealer. There going to be pretty much the same price.
I would stay away from the optima battery unless your going to run it in your trunk or have some serious stereo equipment.
You should look into the odyssey battery kit from buschur or ams. They are very light weight and work just like the stock. That is as long as you dont have a big stereo system.

Also, lightweight batteries have about a third of the life of a full size one.

i dont think u can warranty a battery unless they see ur alt is defective. its a wear item after all; they will throw at you thousand and one reasons why your battery died so quickly (letting the battery go into deep discharge, running aftermarket stereo etc etc)

My owners manual states its covered under warranty under 24months I believe. Free of charge. From 25-37 months though is only 50%. Thats still not bad. I would take it back to Mits for a new one.

oh come on guys! You can afford a $30,000 car but you cant afford $100 for a battery once every 2 years.

My mitsu dealer has been giving me problems lately so I don't want to deal with them. I've had the car for a little over a year now and I do have a semi decent stereo system.....they probably won't warrenty anything for me.

Ok here is the deal guys my car won't start at all so I'd have to borrow a friends car to pick up the battery. Is there a part # or anything specific for the evo 9 battery? Also which battery will be good for my 2 12'' JL W7's and amp?

Thanks a lot for all the feedback guys!
