When changing tranny, t-case, and diff fluids
For those of you who change these fluids personally, would you care to elaborate on the condition of said fluids. For example:
When I changed mine today my Tranny (6 speed) and Rear Diff looked spotless while my T-Case was quite dirty and had a fair amount of fine shavings.
Just wanted to see if others have the same experience. This was my second change in 28k. My first one all the fluids were spotless.

Pretty much the same thing for me. I changed the fluids when I first bought the car when it had 11k miles on it and all the fluids were dirty. I just changed them again a couple months ago after about 10k miles of driving, and my rear diff fluid was still gold. I ALMOST decided not to do the transfer case once I saw the condition of the rear diff fluid, but I knew it would bother me. Good thing I changed it because the transfer case fluid was brown/black. I didn't really have a whole lot of metal shavings though. My trans fluid (GSR 5-speed) wasn't very dirty either.
