My JAM 2.3 50-trim dyno at CBRD

First off thank you Chad and Mark at CBRD, for working long hours to get this done for me...also thanks to Blouch turbo for making me a new BB 50 trim at a moments notice.

The mods are...
JAM 2.3 stage II
JAM stage I head with oversized valves
Buddy club 264/272 cams
VIP Garage 50 trim kit with a Blouch turbo
Precision turbo IC
Precision turbo 880 injectors
Helix testpipe and exhaust
ACT XT clutch

Here is the sheet, this is on 93 pump and stock ECU. This is on a Mustang dyno!! The car feels amazing....

Nice numbers. Curious to see what you would be at on race gas and more boost.

derek,

thanks for the props!!

the rpm calib. was slightly off because we were using speed based rpm pickup on the dyno...

the highest numbers recorded were 380/364 at 24.4 psi....

multiply by apprx 19% for DJ numbers if you care..

dereks car made me want to drop my 37R for a 57trim turbo for the street!

I bought the turbo kit used, and in the middle of being tuned the turbo went.

Blouch turbo said the exhaust side of it was starving for oil.

This turbo was not a Ball bearing nor was it water cooled. Apparently they have a high failure rate, and are just a old school design.

I am jealous Derek. I cant wait to get my "Stroked for Power" Car out too !!!!

380/364 at 24.4 psi Dam man that is alot more then what I was expecting.

I will find out Monday when I will be getting my car back. You so got to take me for a ride in yours, but then again if you do that, I know I am going to go buy a bigger turbo to slap on my 2.3L

Congratulations bro. Did you get the rental Kia back?

Tom,

for the street, derek's car really rocks.. feels like a v8...

I am going to try a larger turbine housing on my 37R to hit 500whp on pump (we are at 499.7 right now with stock ecu).... once i do that.. im going to drop to the 57trim style setup for the street. Id rather have 400whp/430wtq than 500whp/400wtq..

Tom

We will have to meet up when you get yours back. This setup just pulls like mad!!

There is no doubt in my mind that the 2.3 is the way to go.

I am very happy that Carmela and Chad steered me towards the 2.3 instead of the 2.0 for what I am doing with the car.

we were using speed based rpm on the dyno, which skews the rpm values sometimes, but the actual hp numbers dont vary.... our inductive pickup has been giving us problems...

the car was actually being revved to 7100... full boost is around 3800 rpm...

cb

for reference my 2.3 with HUGE cylinder head and 35R with 67 comp wheel hits 23psi around 4750
