Questions about Cusco clutch.

Well I bought the car almost 2 years ago and the previous owner had installed a Cusco Twin Disc clutch. From what I here they are the same as the Exedy. Well 2 years later and after much abuse it is still going strong but Im starting to get worried with the new turbo that its not going to last much longer.

Now my question is does anyone out there have much experience with this clutch? Can it just be rebuilt when it goes or am I going to have to replace it? Also can it be rebuilt with Exedy parts? I am thinking about updating to the Exedy HD disc if possible. Any help would be great as you dont hear much about the Cusco clutch.

I think the cusco twin and exedy twin hd are the same exact clutch.

z1auto stocks replacement disks and if you do a search I think you'll find all positive reviews about this clutch.

I'm going to bring this post back up because I need to replace a few parts in my Cusco Twin and am trying to figure out if I can replace them with Exedy parts?

Adam at Z1 has original Cusco replacement parts. So does Nukabe, the official importer of Cusco. Why not call them.

I had the Cusco, and I know it can be rebuilt. Call Adam at www.z1auto.com and he'll be able to get you parts, he offered to help me with it one time.

Im not sure that the parts are identical, despite the clutch saying exedy on it....

For the sake of argument though, check it out-I'd like to know actually.

The Cusco twin is the same as the Exedy SD clutch, not the HD. You can buy replacement parts from either Exedyo or cusco. We have replacement exedy disc in stock if you need them.
