Question What the heck is the deal with shifting into 2nd gear

I know others have the same issue, but I just want to know if anyone has come up with the reason why we get alot of grinds going into second gear if trying to shift quickly. This is the only car I have ever owned that doesn't allow me to shift as quickly as I would like to. From my experience so far the only way to get a good shift is to not pull into second until the clutch is FULLY depressed and wait a split second to shift into second. All the rest of the gears are fine no problem.

Also while i'm posting.... what is the rev limit set to?
