lost 3rd gear.....

well running up against a cobra i shifted back to 3rd on accident. the revs flew past 9k rpms and i seem to have lost 3rd gear. it does not go in at all. just wondering what is the best way for me to repair it. i plan on taking it apart replacing all the sycros and 3rd gear. maybe cryo frezzing them. any imput on what is best please post. btw running around 450-500whp and driving it at that power level 24-7

why? why do you want to do that? save money? I just don't get it. the above suggestions are you best way. you are running a lot of power with stock tranny, now you have a chance to upgrade it, why not take the opportunity to do so?
are you a professional tranny builder? if not save your money and take to a pro.

Shep = $1000. Worth it IMO. I will eventually probably send mine to him too.

I would take it to Atlantic motosports (AMS) have them send ur tranny to shep. and get his double syncro tranny for around $1,600, other wise you'll just keep going through trannys
