FP Green install questions

Hey guys,
I'm getting ready to install my Green today and I need to know if there are any shortcuts? Do I have to remove the entire manifold to swap the turbos or can I leave the manifold on and try to remove the turbo while leaving the manifold still installed?

Also I need to know what steps I need to take to prime the turbo.

Thanx!

If you need to ask those questions, then you probably want to have someone install it for you OR at the very least have someone there that's done one before.

You need to remove the radiator, and the ex mani to do the install right. Priming you just disconnect the coils and turn over the engine a few times.

I've done plenty of turbo installs, but those were on subis and not mitsus. I'm sure I can get it figured out, I was just looking to save some time.

***, just pull the radiator so you dont mess it up. it will also give you more room. it will probly take you longer to pull the undertray than change the turbo. i would also remove the manifold. spray the bolts and studs with lube.

good deal...you should be fine then. There's just not enough room with that radiator there. Drain it, remove it, remove the mani, and go to town.

Nope, when I replaced my turbo with an evo 9 turbo, I just left the manifold on and just took out the radiator and had plenty of room, just disconnect downpipe, and just lower the turbo assembly a couple of inches and move it to the right or left and pull it up....a lot easier and took me 3 hours by myself my first time!

We put the entire thing together including the mani outside the engine and then installed all at once. Also replaced gaskets and such. Then again...I got my mani coated as well...so I had to remove mine anyway.
