my 4th and 5th gear are grinding really bad and it is really pissing me off. i bought my car with 44,000 miles on it, now it has 46,000 miles and it came with an ACT clutch..not sure of which one but the clutch seems to be fine. ANYWAYS my question is what is a Ballpark cost of having the synchros and probably gears changed??

5th gear syncro grind here....the car had 47k miles before the issue cam up.....then a few hundred miles later i blew my LSD (unrelated, i was drag racing when this happened)

So needless to say i am sending both to TRE for a rebuild....

Fellas there is actually a tsb that was released for the 5th gear synchro. The dealer just replaced mine for free.

so if i bring it to a dealer it will be covered? even out of warranty? excuse my ignorance but if there is a tsb is that the same thing as a "recall" and they will do it for free?

A tsb is different than a recall but i called the deal and i had one of their techs ride along. He agreed and they fixed it. I do have some warranty left but they did not hassle me.

Have you tried adjusting the clutch pedal?

no...how do i do that? and would that really have something to do with shifting into just 4th and 5th gear and not the other gears?

Yes. If you do a search there's a how- to with pictures. Basically loosen a bolt at the top of the pedal and then turn the plastic clutch rod.

Probably, but I wouldn't be suprised if you fix it with the adjustment.
