Help out a Soon to be evo owner!!

So heres the deal, thursday im going to pick up an Evo IX...

Mods Include: K&N filter, Tanabe 2.75" downpipe, UR 3" testpipe, and HKS Carbon Ti Catback. ACT clutch and Prolite flywheel, Turbo XS front mount, Halman MBC, Iveytune flash 310 hp, 300 tq on a Mustang Dyno...

What i want to know is where i should focus my attention to? I was thinking intercooler hardpipes and aquamist... Im not sure if i want to go the meth route right this minute. I wont have the money to do a 35r turbo kit for a couple months. If anyone can steer me in the right direction that would be great. to give you an idea of what kind of hp tq goal im looking for( 360+ hp, 350 +tq)

Look at BuschurRacing or give them a call, upgrade steps or any other like top name in dealing with Evos.

You won't need meth for your whp and tq goals

Tip: do your homework and ask the pros, make a game plan and only buy good stuff don't waste your money buying stuff twice.

Good Luck

Thanks man..

I have actually been reading and "trying" to understand this beast.. im coming from a 04 wrx that was running almost 12's (non-sti) stock turbo.. i was clipped by another car and rolled the wrx 7 times into a telephone poll..... Good news i was able to get enough cash to pick me up evo IX.. lol!! i am really amazed with the motor and what these cars can produce hp # wise..

I have been all over burshur and ams websites.. i was thinking of Cam upgrades and from what i have heard and researched.. you cant go wrong with the Cosi's for the mivec!

Another thing i love about the car im buying is it was previously tuned by sean ivy.. I have heard nothing but amazing stories about this man and it makes me feel confident that the prev. owner knew what he was doing with this car..

If anyone could give me their opinon on what upgrades they would go for... im trying to keep the stock turbo for now until i save for the 35r kit..

Spend some money on brakes and suspension. I'd budget ~$3k for suspension personally. For the brakes, go with SS lines, maybe the titanium shims, etc.
