To all GT35r turbo owners

I have a daily driven 03 Evo with all the BPU on her. In the spring I am planning on doing Alcohol injection, 1000cc injectors and a complete GT35r kit. My goal is to hit 510WHP on a conservative to mild tune and run 10's in the quarter. But I have to ask you guys whom already have a GT35r on your car a question:

Overall are you happy with your turbo? I mean if you had to do it all over again would you make the same choice of turbo or choose a different turbo?

I'm very happy with mine. I'm running e85 and 26 psi. I can pass on the highway without downshifting as long as I'm going 65+ so the turbo is very responsive for such a large turbo. And, when you want to scream, you're just a down shift away from abusive acceleration in any gear under 5.

My suggestion is to find one local and get a drive. Only you know what you'll like or not like. BTW, if you want something more responsive, it looks like the twin scroll kit from Full Race with the 3076 might also meet your goals.

I only wish I would have gone bigger. A 37R is in my near future. I have a buddy with one on his EVO and I thought I had strong top end.

I am going to agree with everyone else on this. I really like my 35R. The spool isnt bad for me. On a decent tune, 11.0-11.5 afr's, 93 Octane, I made 440whp, it was also middle of summer, and almost 100 degree's in the dyno bay.

As was stated by another member, acceleration is nuts, 1-4, and 5-6 still pull nicely for me.

I really love my Buschur 35r kit. I too was really concerned about lag and drivability, if you compare a stock turbo car to a 35r side by side, you'd notice a bit of lag, but once you get used to it, and driving it, its really not noticable at all. And I'm currently running a very conservative tune with low boost, and its still a blast to drive.

I like my HTA35R alot. If you go 35R go HTA 35R. All you have to do is get your 35R kit and send the complete turbo to Forced Performance. They'll convert your standard Garrett GT35R into a HTA35R. You can't go wrong with that. Also good call on going with 1000cc injtrs. Stroker would be very nice for you as well. I currenlty run a 2.3 with the HTA35R and I dynoed at 444 on a Dyno Dynamics, which is around 530 on a dynojet on straight pump(93 oct). Meth tune should push me safely over 600, but we'll see.
