Pure Tuning Evo IX Cosworth Cams Dyno Test

Mitsubishi Evolution IX GSR with 22,523 miles on Odometer.

Tests are performed on a Mustang Dynamometer MD-1100-AWD-SE

Fuel: 93 Octane
Atmospheric Temp: 84 Deg
Relative Humidity: 10%
Boost: 23psi for both tests
Both curves were tuned

--Brief list of parts on car for testing--
ARC Intake Box
Intercooler Piping
FMIC Upgrade
Full Exhaust System
Stock Clutch & Flywheel
Stock Intake Manifold
Stock Cylinder Head

Peak WHP/WTQ Gains

29whp @ Peak
50wtq @ Relative 3800rpm

Highest WHP/WTQ Gains
50whp @ 4350prm
went from 239whp to 284whp @ 4350rpm

52 ft/lbs wtq @ 4350rpm
went from 284wtq to 336wtq @ 4350rpm

If you look at the dyno it made 327 before the cams. I'd think it was tuned. Amazing results

Here are my results:

- Buschur Racing Mustang Dyno
- Tuned both times at time of dyno on pump gas and stock IX turbo w/ BR stage 4.

Before Cosworth cams: 317 awhp & 321 ft/lbs
After Cosworth cams: 344 awhp & 345 fl/lbs

those are some pretty nasty numbers, but to be honest, the ad at the bottom makes me think there are ulterior motives, and exaggerated numbers. that or im just paranoid.

Seriously, was the car tuned before the cams were installed? How much was changed after the cams were installed? PURE TUNING, we need more detail!!!!! Boost adjusted at all, timing, mivec map, afr's adjusted much?

Considering you're trapping 118 on pump gas with basic mods, I'd say these cams prove themselves right here and over and over again. Hands down, best cams for the IX

Sorry guys! I had one of our newbies post this under my instruction. The car was tuned with and without the cams, so both curves on the sheet are tuned final numbers. Nothing else was changed other than the cams and the tune for this test. The boost is the same for both curves at 23psi.
