What did I do wrong?

Okay, I changed out my injectors from stock to 750's. Loaded a new map, and the car started and ran fine. I needed to run some of the fuel out of the car so I drove it around for a while, everything was still fine, didn't boost because I'm supposed to get tuned tomorrow. Ran the fuel down enough to change out my fuel pump. Changed the fuel pump, and now the car will not start. I thought that maybe it could have been the fuel pump so I put the stock one back in, and it still doesn't start. Did I do something wrong? Is there a priming sequence I needed to go through?

after rereading my post I forgot to mention that, while installing the pump the black rubber end that sliides over the white plastic piece, on the end of the pump split. ...also I took the return line off,and there is no fuel coming out of the line when I turn it over.

make sure your pump is assembled properly, make sure all your lines are connected and give it a few tries to turn over

Before changing your pump, you want to be sure to pull the pump fuse and start the car and let it die. This lets all the fuel out of the system and de-pressurizes it.

That black rubber end would be your fuel pump grommet. Without a properly seated and NON-damaged grommet your car will not hold fuel pressure and will not start. Get a new grommet.

Thank you for the assistance. I'm an idiot sometimes. The black grommet just sits on top of the white plastic piece, it does not get slid aroud it. I bought another one from Mitsubishi, and everything is better now. I think I'm going to just work on tricycles from now on.
