Cam question

Hi im planning on getting my 60k maintanence done soon so i thought i would throw in some cams while im at it. im thinking about HKS 272
My question is would i still gain a good amount of power with just a E-mail flash?
Also when i get them installed should i tell the mechanic to do the cam timing or can i just do it myself?

Thanks for the input

your mechanic should set the cam timing at 0/0. Unless you have adjustable gears, there won't really be any setting of the cam timing.

I'd recommend S1's from GSC. They're expecting the next batch in for the Evo 8 in 5 more days. They're such a good cam for your setup, it's hard to keep them on the shelf.

and yes, you will get very good power results with these cams, especially in the mid range, even with mail in flash. Custom would be better, but a mail in will show significant gains.

24hrs (to the minute) later, you changed your mind from HKS 272's to BC 272's.

What "good stuff" did you hear?

haha thats a coincidence. The "good stuff" i heard was that they make as much power as the hks and they are alot cheaper too.

I also recommend gsc s1's, they are better than any HKS 272 IMHO. There are results here on the board.
