Unhappy Please help with engine noise...

Well the noise started a little while ago, at first I thought it was my lifters but I think it has gotten worse

I'm completly stock. Fluids (including trans, differential, ect) changed about 3 weeks ago. Spark plugs changed about 2 months ago with a new O2 sensor. I over reved once merging with traffic on 195, stupid bus.

Waiting to hear the bad news, thanks for any advice!

does it go away when clutch is pressed? the second vid sounds like my car, the famous throw-out bearing noise.

Well as the weather gets colder your engine oil gets thicker and that will make your lifter tick louder because it is harder for them to get pumped up. You could even have a completly bad lifter also. But you also said that you overrevved which could mean bent valves.

first video could be a lifter or an injector and second video sound like the TOB
but you should make a compression test also just to be sure, how many miles does your engine have?

if u hit the rev limiter, then u didn't really over rev. thats what the rev limiter is there for, so u cant over rev. i doubt over revving had anything to do with that caz i hit the rev limiter plenty of times and i've over revved without doing any damage. maybe i was just lucky there and i dont plan on over revving ever again unless i get my motor rebuilt. and by over revving i mean going *past* 8500rpms
