50trim + 2.3L Dyno Numbers

Ok today after a hard day of work we finally tuned the car on 93 octane which I was in desperate need heheh. C16 map could not be finished as we encountered some problems with the stock coils (almost 3 years in the car).

93 Octane (My map to go everyday to work)
19 psi
394 whp & 370 tq.

And on C16 we had to stop at 23.9 psi
432 whp & 428 tq.

We exchanged the coils and quickly noticed that was the problem. No need to keep tuning the car as with that Im more than happy, but still on monday going to buy some coils and later next month maybe I'll finish the C16 map to 30 psi which is what I want. The clutch seems fine for now.

Thanks to:
GP (Georgie Performance) for an awesome engine

Turbotrix Racing
Turbonetics Turbochargers

Randy,

looks good, we just did a JAM 2.3 with 50trim at 23.5 psi and made 355/345 on our mustang dyno... I ran it as high as 25.5 on pump and made 380/350... with a massive powerband.. loved it.. (multiply by about ~20-21% for DJ numbers)

if you are having spark issues... try the BR7EIX non protruded tip plugs... i used to be stuck at 25psi on my 2.3 but now we have run 30psi on pump on stock coils with those plugs and ralliart plug wires... gapped to .22

cheers

Hey Chad, we're using other plugs, some JVELA suggested, in 8 range. We did a testing at the dyno, exchanged my coils for a friends and car inmediately gained like 20 whp and a weird problem it was having was completely gone. BTW you still runing stock ECU on your 2.3?

Because I dont need more power to drive my car to work and back home And to be honest, no more pump gas huge numbers, pump gas simply sucks, your engine will be way more safe and protected using good fuel, C16 or VP Import. I already blew an engine on pump gas, no going thru that again, at least I'll avoid it as much as I can.

Very nice numbers Randy!!! Like you are saying there is absolutely no need for more power on pump gas specially on San Juan's traffic, hahaha!!!

Fix the coil issue and the 30psi tune, then record a couple of laps around Ponce on that beast, hahaha!!! Keep it safe and enjoy it!!!
