Largest cam on a stock ECU?

Alright I am curious who has pushed the bar the most in this arena. I am interested in knowing how well the car ran and the general details!

I am considering S2's on the stock ECU at this point....although JUN 272's could also be interesting.

Realistically the Cossies are bigger than the S2's at least from the specs (ramp rates aside). There is at least one person on this board that I know of that has some Revolvers that "work" with the stock ECU. EvoDan2004 I believe is still running them.

there have been revolvers on stock ecu. You'll be fine. The car will idle... lope like hell.. but run... thats what matters

from the posted spec's of cosworths 272s they are smaller than the S2 cams. less intake lift, and not as steep of of a flank rate.

S2's will work on the stock ecu its been done before.

MafTranslator (just the regular evo maf translator, not the maftpro) + gm maf = ~$250, can run blow through or draw through, Blow through will require ic piping mod. I've tuned (ecuflash) a few cars with this setup and it does seem to improve idle with big cams when you go to blow through mode. Never had a problem on the stock ecu with cams though, but I've never tried to tune anything larger than 280's.

TTP sells the translators IIRC.

Sorry I was thinking the IX cams. @ .050 to @ .050 the Cosworths are advertised as being larger. They also seemed to be measured in the European method rather than what I am used to seeing because where the Cosworth cam card has valve events happening arent typical. I think this coupled with whatever the ramp rates are (I dont have the reverse engineered specs on my work computer) are why even though they claim 255/222 @ .050 Greg is saying they are smaller.

The M2's do indeed work fine on the stock Ecu. They lope like hell but the idle is pretty strong.
