Oil squirters

I just bought a set of new oil squirters to replace my old ones that I lost leaving it lying around in my garage. Now that I'm going to install them, is it necessary to test the check valve or can I trust that they will work since they are brand new? Also, is it necessary to put loctite on the threads before tightening them down to specs?

I would assume you could trust them if they are indeed brand new.

When we put motors together we DO NOT use any sort of loctite.....just tq to 25ft/lbs.

I'm going to put them in a stroker shortblock with no balancer shafts and using stiff engine mounts...will they be 'shaken' loose over time?

GOD i sure hope not lol.

Mine is still 2.0L but we have done them on other stroked 1G/2G DSM's.

We almost always do a balance shaft removal and my car does have poly mounts and vibrates a bit but nothing crazy........i do think that the vibe maybe caused the oil filter to loosen up, drop pressure, and spin a balance shaft bearing Hence the built 2.0L.
