Where are you getting for $4/gal. I can only find it through the VP dist. and it is not that cheap. I have heard of going to paint or chemical stores and they are clueless. Not sure if I am asking the wrong questions. I am using Alky now, but Meth sounds lots cheaper.

I'm not sure why some people have O2 sensor problems. I ran about 300 gallons of the stuff through my 98 GSX and at least 200 gallons through my Eight. Never had a problem. Just for security I did buy a used spare sensor for $75 but I haven't had to use it.

that's good to know, we have a place near town that sells 110 leaded for about 4.50/gallon and since I don't drive the car everyday it wouldn't cost all that much to run it all the time.

I have an autox this weekend so I picked up another 10 gallons last night. It was $5.25 per gallon. Even at that price when split with 91/93 it still only $1 per gallon to run 100 octane.

Since my race gas map is tuned for 25psi I'm confident I don't need 100 octane. I could probably get away with 2-3 gallons of 110 per tank and still not see knock. Either way for $10 more per tank its worth not having to worry about clogged nozzles, failing pumps, low fluid levels, or uneven distribution.

The only time I meth may be better for me is on very hot days. The temp drop it provides reduces the demand on other cooling systems. But if you upgrade the FMIC to something better than stock its probably not much of an issue.

If your running race gas, you should try spraying water. Once your octane is higher than methanol, you will hurt your total octane by spraying meth. Water should help you cool the intake charge and if you don't change the tune, you don't have to worry about clogged nozzles, etc...

For 95% of my track time I wouldn't need it so I'd rather not dick with it. On very hot days I simply turn the boost down to 20psi. The stock FMIC is more than enough for low boost.

Temps are expected to be in the 40s for this weekends autox so I'll be cranking the boost.
