I have seen a lot of big turbos for the Evo.
The GT30,35R 37R,40,42R,45..
I have seen lots of Supras with GT47-88..do they make that for the Evo as well..??

The guys who built my turbo have a prototype FI-122 out that is suppose to support close to 2900-3000hp. I saw the unit when it was completed and installed on a Outlaw car. They are suppose to make some shake down runs in the spring.

Yeah on a recent cover of SCC..Was 3 1000+ WHP Evos, 5 at the event total the other 2 were Dan Bajalis' WW Evo from AMS, and the oh so famous AMS Drag Shop Car (BEAST)..but anyway the silver nd black Garrett decaled one by AMS was running a GT45R.."f'cukin huge!" So is definitely pushing some more then the 42R.. :-D

And not to long ago I purchased SRVidz's Adrenaline Unleashed ($16.99 + tax and shipping - srvidz.com) which had all 3 of them running on the dyno...the Yellow one by CFT (Central Florida Turbo), if my memory serves me correct pulled so hard it blew a gasket somewhere, most likely the head.
, and unsuprisingly, AMS not a prob. those guys are awesome, The true Evo Gurus.______________________________

that 45r silver car you are referring has a horrible powerband for a street car.. its nothing more than a dyno queen. the guy that owns it lives in the area and it only goes to and from show and shine events.. never down the track..
oh yeah..obviously not for drag purposes hence "dyno event"
but yup i can imagine the powerband must blow..its not spooling until 5000 or so rpms maybe even later.
..lag is going to be a problem with any big turbo..but there is "ALS" for those deep pocketed crazy bastards...btw is very harmful, but if lag is really huge concern take ALS up...just don't expect cheap maintance.
