Air Duct Plug??

Fellow evo drivers....does anyone know what I can put on the air duct to cover the outlet at the top? Whatever was on their before came off although the original clamp is still attached. I'm in the military in a rather remote location so I'm not near any major cities. I'm open to any suggestions.

Do you mean the intake before the turbo? If so put a recirc valve back on.

Here's a photo. It's just above the radiator cap between in air intake and the radiator hose.

The plugs that hold the trunk liner should work.

Heh did you look at the picture?

Isn't that the bov line? I don't have my EVOs engine bay memorized like my eclipse's and haven't even touched the air intake but I could've sworn that's what was there, especially considering the size.

LOL, you can either plug it up with some home depot style piece or return the stock recirc bov

The BOV would be nice in that hole!!!! lol

Hope that turbo didn't suck anything in that it should'nt have..... If you don't put the bov back in there, you can go to an autopart store and get a plug for it that has a nut on the top that you tighten so it can't get sucked in.

Did the car run ok with that whole open? That's where your BOV needs to recirculate. It's best to recirculate your BOV if you still have the stock MAF, but defiantly plug it until you can get a recirculaing BOV.

Another believer in the myth that a non-recirculated bov with a stock maf will make your car just completely run like ****.
