Eagle makes good products as well as Weisco. Are you doing the crank as well? If so, Id recommend a forged 2.0L kit from AMS, Buschur, etc. If you dont want to go that route, look at jscspeed.com and check out the Eagle kit. Shop around, that stuff is expensive!

I think you would be happier in the long run just sending you short block out to get the whole job done. Not just pistons/rods matt.

I'd be happy with a JAM/AMS/BR built block. Probably JAM because they are very close to me.

That is another great route to go. It all depends on what you want.

Try calling a few shops and asking what they recommend as far as built 2.0s go. Im sure AMS/JAm/BR will have some advice for you.

Stock crank works awesome pass 1000whp. Eagle rods and wiseco will be perfect for what you want.
You could drop the pan and pull the head hone the block clean it up and stick in rods and pistons in very easily. Arp the mains and the headstuds

This guy would know. I guess listen to him. I just would not want to take apart my engine and not do the whole job. That's just me though. I like to do it right the first time.

What are trying to do Matt? Your already running 30psi on stock block. You really won't be able to run too much more. The stock block of a 4G63 is strong. I think it's wasted money in your situation. Spend the money on a larger turbo.

Allot of the big shops do this same thing at his power level hes looking for. Most of my parts are all stock.
1) Stock crank
2) Some basic porting on my head but nothing to crazy. Shoot we never touch my intake side.
3) Oiling systems is stock just no balance shafts.
4) All stock gaskets
I would say he could revv 9k with rods and pistons with the balance shafts gone, Some springs. going to a heavier oil would help

Yup. Just make sure everything stays really clean. Or take it to a good shop that knows our motor and have them do it.

One thing to note is we have seen 3 motors up here just let go rods at your power level. There are with motors with arp rod bolts. Seems random but happens. rods are cheap insurance.
