This happened to me yesterday and my plug had been in for a year. I was really worried that it was something major from the sound. Mine cracked the plastic spark plug cover too. I checked the threads and they were in tact. Had to wait 45 min for the tow truck driver in the fog, in the middle of the night on the way home from work ...sucked
