Works reflash + Pruven axle back + MBC ??
Works reflash + Pruven axle back + MBC ??
I'm planning to get his setup in my EVO.
-Works 93 octane brain reflash for the exhale
-Pruven axle back
-MBC
I noticed that works exhale and the pruven axle back are nearly identical axle back systems. so can I get the pruven axle back to work with the works reflash for the exhale? Also I heard that the works reflash does not change the stock boost patterns so can I also include a MBC to increase my boost to about 20Psi all the way?
I know there isn't quite a certain answer for this but for all the pros out there, do you think this is a nice reliable safe setup?
Thanks so much ...

I still don't understand the concept for a reflash. How many times have all of us heard that "each car is different." and that they all need to be "Dyno Tuned by a professional." Yet reflashes are a static investment. Once you have one, you can't possibly adjust every individual parameter for each additional modification you are going to make. I think they are a great stealth mod, and a good first-AND LAST mod, but I really don't think that it is an ideal solution. I spend a lot of time in the Cobb WRX forums, and heard a lot of things about the evils of not getting a professionally tuned unichip because each car was SO different that they needed personal attention. Guess what? Cobb developed a reflash just the same. I really think that alot of the reflashes allow the tuning companies to put a lot of time into defeloping one product, and then guess what, they can sell the same product over and over again without any cost to themselves (or at least it will be minimal). If I were you, I would save up for a cat back instead of an axle back. I know they are a lttle more money, but you know that all turbo cars love free flowing exhausts, and almost every cat-back design will give 10-12 WHP increase. Although 5%-7% is not a lot, I really have a hard time believing that there needs to be any drastic changes made to the ECU for tuning an exhaust system. Yes, I will conceed that there can be maybe 1 or 2 more HP gotten out with a personal tune, but I don't think that you are hurting anything. If stealth is what you want to do, then go for it, but I am sure you will eventually catch the bug and want to mod a little more and then a little bit mroe than that etc. I would try to snag a ride with someone else who has a similiar set up and ask yourself if you will be able to be happy with that level of performance forever. If the answer is no, then I think your money should be spent on a fuel tuning computer and go from there. I think most people get 20-WHP from fuel tuning, and 10WHP for cat back exhausts. Then there is the issue of holding boost to redline. I think that you just mught want to save your 600 dollars, and make sure that you are taking the right path for you to mod your car.
P.S. I have a chipped Audi, and I love the performance, but the inly reason I chipped it was becasue there is really no other performacne option available for the 1.8 turbo cars except $4,000 turbo swaps, and custom t3/t4 turbos with standalone fuel systems. Just my .02 if it helps.
