Exedy Twin Plate Adjustment help!

I installed an Exedy HD Twin Plate clutch about 1500 miles ago. Well I am planning on drag racing it tomorrow, but while driving around today, it seems like its engaging really late, and while slowing down, if i press the clutch all the way in, and then shift a gear with the clutch all the way in, can hear the transmission change sounds, like it is partially engaged still with the clutch fully in! Also, it fights me going into 2,3, and sometimes Reverse! So my question is, when adjusting it, after I break the lock nut loose, do I need to turn the rod to the right (tighten, or to the left (loosen) it? I am new at this and dont want to mess up a new clutch and rebuilt buschur tranny by not having the clutch adjusted right!

THanks!

You need to adjust the pedal higher (you will see which direction once you start adjusting the rod) to make it properly disengage the clutch. Adjust it then take it for a spin, make sure you warm the entire tranny and clutch up because it will expand once it gets hot. Then from there determine if it is to your liking and if it feels like it is engaging properly and disengaging properly and just keep adjusting it until you get it to where you want it. to be.

Make sure you pay close attention to it while you are putting the first couple thousand miles on it, I had to adjust mine 2 seperate times so you may have to adjust it again down the road when you get more miles on it.

To make shifting easier make sure you warm your car up (since its probaby getting cold in OH) before really driving it anywhere so that it will shift 100x smoother. I usualy get locked out of 1st and reverse first thing in the morning and I just have to sit there for a little bit until she is warmed up.
