Or they could be busy? There are plenty of factors both in and outside the control of a business which could make this take longer than expected.

In all honesty I might be biased because I've sold a couple of these on the forums, but I think this manifold is awesome.

Not everyone has access to a shop that can port a manifold, let alone do a great job at it and considering the fact that you can resell your stock manifold for $60 bucks all day long you really aren't paying much more than a normal port job. Now factor $30 in gaskets and you're about equal to sending the manifold out and getting it ported. You also should note that this is a brand new manifold with a lifetime warranty. If you get your manifold ported you are investing money into a part that has a higher potential for failure. Cast iron will inevitably crack and cracking is more prominent in harsher climate changes (new england).

I mainly purchased the manifold because I couldn't afford the downtime at the time. Spending 30 minutes installing a manifold sure does beat waiting 5 days for a manifold to come in the mail after getting it ported. Once you factor in shipping both ways, you're either equal or above the cost of the Muse manifold.

I've talked to James and their no hassle warranty is just that. If you have a problem with fitment or if the product contains any defects, you just send them your defective item and they'll send you the new product AND reimburse you for shipping as long as you can provide a reciept for shipping.

I guess your lucky enough to have both places near you and that can do it in a day.

Someone needs to compare a stock vs Muse. I have a BR ported/polished manifold and compared to OEM manifold, it's a great port job. I have both off my car, so if pictures r wanted, I could put them up.

It cost more than $150 for the BR one, but it comes coated as well. I'm happy with the BR one.

If you order the ported and coated one from Buschur they send you one that is already done, once you install it you send yours back. Its an exchange, so in actuallity, there is no down time. Yes there is a core charge, but once they get yours it is refunded right away.

When I sent them my manifold to get ported I got it back 2 weeks later. Either they took a week and a half to send me the manifold or they ported it when they had a chance and then sent it out.

I received a manifold (I can only assume its this one as there were not the usual casting marks like the oe one) last week from a customer. When overlaying the turbo gasket to the flange its better than stock but definately not a perfect match in my book. I took pictures before and after that I will post later tonight in a thread. I ended up porting it as there was room to do some work. Even showd my friend Fast Frank who is on here as he is an unbiased person as well.
