That's interesting. Really, street racers care about top end the most, street racing is drag racing. So a street RACER would want the high revs and big turbo, while a street DRIVER would want the wider powerband and driveability of a 2.3 setup. I'm torn, I want to pull like nuts on the highway somewhat and not die on a road course. I'm torn between the 35R and 37R, and therefore also torn between the 2.0 and 2.3. I suppose I'll rule out 2.3 and 37R, so my remaining options are 2.0/35R, 2.3/35R, 2.0/37R.

Also...here's some food for thought...
The norris designs evo 9 SWB. Look at the numbers, esp tq. This is all using a 2.3 crank. They hit 9.2@160mph.

Power: 927bhp & 739lb-ft (VP Import Race Fuel)
Weight 1180Kg (Dry)
Top speed: 215mph + (201.43mph so far )
Best 0-60mph = 2.4 sec
Best 0-100mph = 4.3 sec
Best 0-150mph = 8.00 sec
¼ mile in 9.26 sec @160.09mph on 17" Nitto 555R tyres.
Best 30-130mph = 5.06 sec
(All times recorded at Santa Pod drag strip )

Engine:
ND oversize stainless inlet & exhaust valves
ND spec camshafts
ND valve spring kit
ND Ti retainers
HKS cam pulleys
ND gas flowed race cylinder head
ND 2.3L forged steel crankshaft

Curious....Does it have any alternate effect or result in an VIII or a IX if you have either the 2.3 or the 2.0, meaning does one benefit from the other differently from different setups.

With a 2.3 ltr really being a 2.25, why not have the best of both worlds. Go with a 2.2 ltr. You can have tourqe and 9500 rev limit. Just destrock a 4G64 block with an eagle 94mm crank. Pick your custom rods and piston combo off of the 94mm crank, and have it all.
