Rx-7. But depends how long the race is cuz they have a nasty habit of breaking down. I changed 3 engines on my JDM 1997 Rx-7 Special Edition Type R-Bathurst and people say the EVO MR FQ-400 is a long name

RX7, everyone else has said it but I will too: Its the lightest... Plus, the loudest, freakin rotary engines.

hands down the rx7.

300zx is a pig, and the 3000gt is just ridiculous...wasn't it something like 38xx lbs? holy crap.

when the rotary in the rx7 blows after 2 laps around a track just swap a LSx in there and call it a day

300zx TT for sure......cuz it mod friendly and the block is bullet proof.....unlike the rotary, one knock and that rotary engine is gone.

Around a track, rx7. At the strip, the vr4 might hold on with a redline launch.

There is a road test on willows spring from a 1992 road and track test. The cars were the same plus the C4 vette.

The RX7 was the best for handling.

It really depends on the track, but most tracks I'd have to say RX-7. This coming from the owner of a 3000GT VR-4!!!

The 0-60 on a VR-4 from 1996(or 5) and up was 4.8 seconds, so straight line performance I'd say the 3000GT. On the track I'd definitely go RX-7.
