Question motor heads only
does anyone know what thread the timing belt tentioner tool is for doing a cam install???? is it metric nc nf ??? what size and thread please. i dont want to pay the 80 bucks if i can just make some right.

Don't bother trying to make one out of threaded rod, just get one from AMS. Theirs is only 34 bucks, I'm ordering one for when I change my head gasket.

yeah the ams one is heat treated.... a threaded rod can break and that would be a PITA!

If my memory serves me well, it's 8mm x 1.25 threaded rod

sparky is correct. The hole for the tensioner rod is 8x1.25mm.
