Great! Thanks for your help! Im hopeing that hooking up the stock map and getting a boost control solenoid will clear up all the issues with my car. If not at least that part of this project car will be right.

I do have check engine light on but Im sure that no rear O2 sensor has something to do with that. I bought that Perrin rear O2 delete module but have not hooked it up yet.

stock map sensor (on the evo8) is only used for EGR control. It will not affect performance that you'll be able to tell. It has nothing to do with a/f or other functions other than EGR.

Not sure about a cel light will occur if you don't plug it in.

Im not familiar with what the boost solenoid is. Does it just have the wire harness that plugs into it or do vaccum lines run to it too?

What are the symptoms of poor running? Can you go to a local autozone/advanced auto parts and have them and run a OBD check? It also probably does not like not having an O2 sensor in the rear.

I have not scanned it yet because Im still trying to figure out whats missing or hooked up wrong. This car was gutted when I bought it and Im not familiar with the car in a stock state. After I get the boost solenoid in and my Perrin O2 simulator installed I should have things buttoned up enough to scan it and get a good idea of whats wrong.

Familiarize yourself with that how-to to see how the stock boost control solenoid is connected..
