Ok, so I have been hearing the death whine in my car for a couple weeks now. Well the other day, I went to the track first run launched really good, spun the tires like crazy, but launched hard, missed 3rd so it wasnt a good overall run. Well the second run is where it went downhill fast! My 2-step is set at 6K and as soon as I launched it we heard a loud grinding sound and the car didnt go. We know it is the transfer case because we drove it bak home, bout 2 miles and it shifted fine, R and 1-5. So I know its not the tranny and the clutch is a new Exedy HD twin disc.

So my question is, is the whine always the ring and Pinion? Am I better off to get it rebuilt by Shep, or just buy new Stage 2 Shep TC? Is it true that the new TC from shep come with a Lifetime Warranty?
