38mm turbosmart wastegate

I know that this is evo thread, but I need help.

While driving home from the dyno (everything was fine on the dyno) , I still took it slow. By my house I finally hit it. No whistle and no boost. Everything seems connected just fine. Dyno place was closing so I couldn't come back.

I have checked the cold side of the brand new gt28r and everything seems fine. All my vacuum hoses are connected. Every single time I hit gas I see ZERO boost; non.

People say it's my wastegate, but what? Some say that I need another spring. Other say that my spring is fine and that my wastegate is wideopen?

How can I check that? I have 38mm turbosmart.

Thanks.

Tough call. It could be so many things. Do you have a boost gage so you can confirm that you are not generating boost?

I dont think its your spring. Even if its too small you would see atleast some boost build up.

My gauge shows ZERO boost.

38mm Turbonetics Ultragate Street

If my diaphram would ripp then would that cause boost creep?

Someone else told me that my exhaust side of the turbo is shot, but then why I see gasses coming out of my dump tube while just slightly reving?

try to spin the turbo with your finger (car off)

if it feels sticky there might be a problem with your turbo.

Cold side was already checked. It's perfect.

But even if the hot side would be shot then why would I see exhaust gasses coming out from the dump pipe at the idle?

If turbo is bad, than it shouldn't be blowing through the dump pipe since wastegate should be closed, right? Dump pipe should blow the gasses only at WOT.
