Front A/C fan removal?

If I have removed my ac could I conclude that I dont need the front fan? Will this unplugged clip trigger a cel? I think I could get away with this considering the ac core is gone and I plan on adding some heat shielding around the o2 housing.
My plan is to use the CBRD rad w/ slimline fan and remove the front fan (also start running water wetter - are the added cooling claims legit?). Let me know if I need to rethink this.

I have my AC and AC fan out. Still on stock rad and stock rad fan. No problems here.

Thanks. Did you just unplug the front fan and tie them down?

I took out just the AC Fan. There is no CEL and you dont even need the fan if you have the A/C. I used it for two summers and it was still very cold and engine temps never rose.

While we are on the topic of fan removal. I have heard some people say that you don't even need your main radiator fan. Has anyone tried this?

I think I might try it soon, other than watching the temp gauge to see if it goes higher than normal, is there anything else I should be aware off? I guess I can log coolant temps with EvoScan.

A little off topic but either of you running the half size radiator ? I had a idea of instead of putting it on the drivers side what if you were to keep it on the passenger's side. This way you could do custom intercooler piping which would require a new intercooler set up but it could be worth it. It all depends on how much thicker a half size radiator is.

Seems like a lot of work for very little gain. I would just use a proven setup that Buschur or AMS sells.
