EVO IX MR 6-speed Oil Additives?
EVO IX MR 6-speed Oil Additives?
I currently am having a vibration problem when i start off in first gear during engagement. It feels like a really bad warped flywheel or something, but its definately not. When i try starting in 2nd or 3rd (easily) it never has done it once. It seems to go away once the car is really warmed up (after 15 or 20 mins of driving, but never totally gone). I have changed the tranny fluid with super diaqueen oil mitsubishi says to only put in there. I changed it 3 TIMES. the car only has 14k miles. My question is... has anyone tried any oil additives for the tranny? My buddy put lucas transmission stuff in his car and his tranny problems are gone. Im curious if the lucas will be ok for me to try? any input will help, thanks.
i got the stock clutch, and about 330 WHP, click on my last line of my signature. im really easy on my clutch, new ones are expensive, but not outta my credit cards price range...this isnt from the tranny? just the clutch?

ima tranny noob, but good with engines. ill admit it.
Yep, it's very common with the stock clutch in first gear, and especially in cold weather.
Most people choose to upgrade to the ACT HDSS with your power. They are generally good up to 400-450 WHP. BTW, it's also a good idea to change your flywheel when changing your clutch.
Edit: you describe the problem as a vibration, but most people use the word shudder. The shudder most people describe is like there is a part of the transmission that is unbalanced, causing the car to jerk repeatedly when taking off.
