Cams do not need a break in period.

That used to be done on the old V8s because if the super high tension valve springs and not alot of oil pressure at idle the rocker arms would grind the cam lobes off.

It was/is done on V8's because some use tappet style rockers. The 4g63 uses roller followers which require no real breakin.

Just let it idle for 10 minutes to make sure the lifters work fine and you are good to go. I went from install to dyno to WOT.

Yeah, just let the car fully warm up and you should be good to go. Thats what I did. I immediately afterwards hit the highway & drove 10-15 miles back home.

Cam break in period

Turn on the car, let it idle. You will feel a smile start to come on. Put the car in reverse, back up. Pull out onto the street, make sure all is clear.
Now STEP ON IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats about it.
