I don't really think there is a break in period. As soon as I installed mine, I started it up and let it run for a bit and then drove it an hour home. You will be fine.

There is no break-in period. Most people take it easy at first to make sure there weren't any installation issues. Just pay attention to your car and listen for any strange noises. Also, you probably don't want to go too crazy until you get retuned.

Some places recommened 500 miles or so before you take it up to/past redline ... It wouldnt hurt .. a couple miles here to save you a pocket full of dough later ... Sort of like preventive maintanence! But then again - with such a mod that opens up so much power - I myself would probably be tempted to just go wide open lol

I was told by several race engine builders: Use new oil+ filter, and thoroughly clean your new camshafts and apply a high-quality assembly lube (not motor oil) to all contact surfaces. Then engine needs to be primed to allow oil to completely circulate, for 15 seconds no more than 30 sec with 15 second interval. You could also pour the last quart of oil from the top since valve cover is off the head. Install valve cover to proper torque spec. DO NOT let it idle....as soon as the engine starts. It is essential to run the engine no more than 1500-2000 RPM for at least 20 minutes for proper camshaft break in.

Because the camshaft and lifters (after lifters have been bled and cleaned) are primarily get better lubrication by the splash of oil from the squiters, any RPM below 1,300 may result in insufficient lubrication and may cause cam lobe premature wear or scoring.
The high RPM also allows the lifters to rotate quicker and seat properly to the camshaft during this critical break-in procedure. During the first 20 minutes, carefully monitor oil pressure (if you have and oil pressure gauge) if any problems arise, shut down the engine immediately.

Put em in and go. Listen when you first start it to make sure everything is installed properly. Aside of that, there is no real break in procedure for cams.
