I Made A Mistake!!!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I heard about Lucas Oil Stabalizer from a few friends of mine that use them in their cars. My friend had a few bottles in his house and offered to give me some to try out. So he hands me a bottle from his garage, and I put it in. Right when it comes out of the bottle, he yells to stop. He saw that it was red, and we read the bottle, and it was "transmission fix" Lucas Oil instead of the Oil Stabalizer. I was pissed to say the least, but I put full blame on myself.

Anyway, I wanted to change the oil asap, but we didnt have a filter laying around, so I drove to the oil change place asap. The car started up fine, and drove fine without any problems. I got there, and had the oil changed. It said on the "transmission fix" bottle that it could be used in conjunction with tranny fluid or SAE 10W30. So I had the oil change guys throw in 10W30 rather than the 5W30 that I usually use. Drove the car for about 20 miles with no problems.

As soon as I got home, I checked online on www.LucasOil.com for any info in fear that I just made a very big mistake. The specs between the oil stabilizer and the tranny fix seem close enough. I checked the MSDS and spec sheet for both, and they seem really close. For any automotive experts, or and chemical experts, can ya tell me if according to those specs, everythign looks ok.

Thanks In Advance!

Relax, your fine.

Automatic Trans oil or any trans modifiers are detergents. in other words, they clean all the gunk thats built up in a trans.
Plus if you poured in less than a quart, I wouldn't be worried about it. Just think you probably cleaned the inside of your motor putting it in.

Yup...actually, that's an old-school trick...pour some ATF into your oil fill and drive around a bit right before an oil change...the ATF cleans out all the sludge and it drains right out when you change the oil...doesn't hurt the engine at all...

When I was a dumb kid, my friends and I would pour tranny fluid into the carb while the engine ran. This was supposed to "clean" the valve train. It made huge plumes of white smoke, (I'm pretty sure this is why we really did it )

You should be fine
