it is not an exhaust leak because i checked, whenever the fan comes on there is extremely hot air coming from under the car around the front. when i gas it sounds like an exhaust leak, i can hear air coming out somewhere. my turbo would spool really loud and fast even with like 20% throttle. i would gas just a little and the boost gauge would show it hit 23psi really quick with no effort. the car does not pull at all, i dynoed at 325whp when i was tuned 4 months ago but from the butt dyno im like 125whp now estimate literally. i tried 2-step and it was only boosting 2psi. i checked all the hoses and pipes and they were all tight. can someone help me here?

 

does the turbo still spool up rele fast?

 

yes the turbo spools really fast. the boost gauge would show me hitting boost really fast with no effort and im barely stepping on the gas. the needle would just hit boost easily. the car has no power tho even when im boosting.

 

maybe the gauge is messed up it hits 15psi sitting still or rolling?

 

um idk exhauat manifold gasket?....i rele dont no...what about a comprssion test did u do one?...ive never herd of it b4 brotha...sry i couldnt help

basically my whole powerband is dead even at full boost,definitely not normal plus the spooling and the stock dv is really loud. even if i tried not to boost the car will boost with very little throttle.

 

You DO have a boost leak... maybe even a hole in your piping. Try a boost leak test and you will probably find the leak instantly.

 

definately sounds like a boost leak. check icp. obviously its a big boost leak so do a leak test and you shouldnt have any problems finding your problem

 

if it is a boost leak can it still hold boost? i heard it cant but i can still hold boost. another thing i notice is i dont have turbo lag anymore. it always boosting when i give gas, no lag. are these signs of boost leak?

 

do you have a wideband? if it shows your afrs richer then yes its a boostleak
it sounds also that it may be an exhaust leak what are your mods?

 

my mods are mbc 23 psi, hks intake,tbe, fuel pump. the leak sounds like it's coming from the downpipe but i didnt feel any air coming from there when i was under the car. it sounds like an exhaust leak when i give it gas tho but i had experiences with an exhaust leak and my powerband wasnt this horrible. literally the car would hit full boost but the car would not pull like the powerband is totally dead. the car does not smoke.

let's say i put my stock dp back on would i need a reflash?

 

you're making 23#'s of boost at 20% throttle, but you have no power? This is something other than a simple boost leak or exhaust leak.

Could it be a blown head gasket? But no smoke... I dunno man. I mean this all sounds too strange.

 

well it doesnt hit 23psi with 20% throttle but it does boost easily and hardly any turbo lag.
