No, no!! I don't care about 400 hp or not. I guess my real question is I want a turbo that will produce more power than the green, but still have the green or slightly slower spool up time.

^^ Doesn't exist.

If you need more power than the Green you have to go big or try nitrous.

Giving this a little more thought.... you could also go with a stroker motor and add something like a DBB 50 trim. This would be some serious cash but you get the best of both worlds.

That being said I've driven an AMS 2.3L EVO with BR 3065 and it was still MUCH laggier than stock. So you can't really go bigger than a 50 trim and expect stock like spool.

Rofl. I bet you going around saying that your car can beat a lambo now cause of topgear, dont you? The FQ400 has 405 bhp (brake horsepower,) which is different than flywheel horsepower. I wouldnt be surprised if it were a 3076 or 3037s. They do say that its a garrett unit, though.

If you read through a thread @ the brittish forum called www.lancerregister.com. There is actually a group that offers re-flash for the Evo VIII Fq-400. The same group who developed the car and made the standard flash for it! According to them they have a really restrictive tune from stock (if you can call the Fq400 "stock"). Mitsu restrained them and they wasn't allowed all the low-end torque it developed! Probably because they want to be sure that selling it with warranty won't destroy their business. So if you bring them the car they will reflash and it, and just the reflash will bring you 500 hp @ flywheel and a lot more low-end torque so it won't have that nasty turbolag it has from factory. That's why the car has that turbolag - not because of anything near as large as a GT42R!!

(break horsepower is just the brittish way of saying it), but the german way (PS) on the other hand, 505 PS isn't 505 hp, just slight less! Rs6 has 450 PS which means somewhere between 442-447 hp.

But there is difference in Horsepower too, I mean, the C6 Z06 has 505 hp (SAE)! But here in Sweden or Europe we use DIN (if I didn't mix their names), so 505 hp (SAE) is 512 hp (DIN). Which the Fq-400 is measured in would probably be DIN but I'm not sure..
