i noticed a whining noise around the passenger side of my engine bay the other day. i only notice the whining noise when i'm idling. i changed my cam shafts a couple weeks ago, but the whining noise didnt start until just recently. i bled the lifters and i'm pretty sure everything was on time because i zip tied the timing belt to the cam gears and all of the TDC marks lined up like they did before i changed the cam shafts. the whining noise started after i performed a boost leak test on my car. the only parts i touched was my injen intake, mbc, and wastegate. the whining starts a few seconds after starting my car and goes away depending on the rpms i'm idling at (i havent gotten tuned yet so the new cams are making my idle fluctuate a little). please tell me it's not an expensive fix! it kinda sounds like it's coming from the water pump pulley, but i'll have to double check that i put it back on correctly when i installed my cams.
