Forge Recic BOV & RMR Intake
Hi,
This is my first post but I have been looking around the boards for about 1 month now. Anyway I have a question.
I want to get the Forge recic bov from vivid right now because the prices are very cheap. I am getting the recic bov because of the advantages that have already been discussed. However I would also like to hear the bov sound so I want to get an intake but I am not sure which one. Vivid recomends the RMR intake but I have heard that the stock intake is better, any opinions on the forge recic bov and rmr intake combo. Or another intake.
Thanks
Jordan

Make your own intake for 30 bucks. You can buy a conical k&n filter of your choice for roughly 30 bucks and make it fit with very little work. No way I'm paying over 100 bucks for a filter and bracket.

The intake will certainly let you hear it!
I just took mine off though and went back to stock, car feels much better at low RPM and doesn't hesitate like it did with the Buschur on it. Pick your poison basically. I got used to the noise, too but it runs better so.

i think you just may here a small swoosh.... not a peircing VTA sound....which is nice.... (maybe childish) but trust me...I have had MAD issues with the VTA SSBOV even WITH the recirc kit

I installed the forge recirculating valve but only boosted a little since the car is not broken in yet. 320 miles now. Ill boost and let off to shift gears to hear the bov. Sounds great with the stock intake box. I can hear the low tone whoosh not the VTA high pitch type whoosh. What might be placebo is I can hear the turbo spooling more with the new bov. Nevertheless Im happy and it seems to work very well. Next test will be done after 600+ miles when I start boosting a little more. Right now im just pushing it a little..

I just installed the Buschur intake today. I already had the forge recirc valve and let me say I LOVE the sound. I cannot say how much of the sound comes from the valve though as I have not heard an open intake with the stock valve. You can barely hear the forge valve with the stock intake, but you'll scare the crap out of people with an open intake.

I just removed my Buschur intake and went back to the stock box.
I can honestly say the tip-in hesitation is alot better, especially when cold. I still want to do a road dyno run this way and compare the charts. I only have the regular filter in it.

BTW, did you feel better trottle response from the new BOV? Or is it just placebo?

I don't think it made a difference, otherwise I might remember.
