Is it by any chance a smaller outside (major) diametre wheel than an 82mm 56T GT40 compressor but in a larger trim size - ie larger inducer diametre ?

Sorry people but the confusion factor is multiplied with this North American insistance of calling a compressor wheel by its INducer diametre rather than its EXducer diametre .

Personal theory only but I believe big trim wheels with higher blade counts are probably aimed at high flow rate lowish pressure ratios possibly for diseasels - Jays the one to know for sure .

The old cheap n' cheerfull 60-1 compressor (409535-1) is one I'm surprised hasn't turned up in some form of GT35R love child ...

Cheers A .

Why are there so many stupid questions on these threads by DB. Everyone wants to fight over who is right and who is wrong. Who gives a damn about what wheel is bigger or smaller. The turbo works and thats all there is to it. Dave is right and you people are wrong PERIOD.

DJ this Mustang that. After tuning my car on Dave's dyno and driving home logging some different pulls, I noticed my tune was still spot on. I see cars leave my buddys DJ in there Mustang Cobra's then requiring a road tune to clean up knock. DJ's suck IMO.

Bottom line here is the car made 700 on a 35r.

If you want your car to do this... take it to Buschur.

Also stop all the which 35r should I get threads. The clear choice is in this thread.

Sorry Dave I have had a bit to drink and these moroon's p*ss me off asking the most off the wall sh*t

From page 3, crcain, I don't know what the spool up to 2 bar is, I measure my boost in PSI I also don't have my tuning laptop here to look.

My car is NOT a stroker, I'd have no reason to hide it if it were. If it were I'd promote them and sell them more, we do charge an additional $500 for a stroker so it would work out to a little more money in my pocket. I would venture to say that the torque could possibly be higher with a stroker, it usually is. Would it match the HP? I don't know, would be very hard to believe, even harder to believe than the numbers are now.

From Page 4,

evodan2004, I don't much care what too many people think. There is something being left out and I mentioned it in the other thread when the car made the 661 on our dyno.

emery, the compression ratio is the same as every other 2 liter we build, this is a standard bore 2 liter, Stage 3, nothing special. As a matter of fact this engine, last May (2006) was stolen from a customers order to put into my car at the last minute. Compression is very close to stock, around 8.8:1.

03whitegsr, you are way out of the park on your theory of the tuning, sorry.

johnd, geoff is incorrect. I am also highly scepticle at this point about the twin scroll stuff being a better all around choice.

CWill, my car will without a doubt make more power than it is already. I have something else I am cooking up right now. I also think if I freshened up the engine it would pick up another 10-20 whp. I am honestly shocked how many runs this car has made. It has 100+ dyno pulls on it, easily. A bunch of 9 second runs (maybe 50). So I may freshen it up over the winter. A simple hone job and a set of rings I am guessing would gain some power.

Something else, I am running our standard production full 3" turbo back on the car with our single bullet muffler. At this point in power the car might just pick up some power if I went to our 3.5" system. I may test that in the near future. I NEVER-EVER run without the complete muffled exhaust in place, it's damn good advertisement for the best exhaust made

Top left is hta35 and top right is 35r. The hta has same exducer size. The inducer is about 3mm smaller. The hub of the wheel is half the size of 35r. This makes the blades much bigger. The wheel is much lighter because so much mass was removed from the hub and inducer diameter is smaller. This coupled with there being 14 blades instead of 12 allows the turbo to spool faster and move more air sooner. The turbine shaft doesnt have to spin as fast to move X amount of air so backpressure at the turbine is reduced.

The bottom two wheels are mitsubishi 24v and 25g wheels. The 25g shares same traits as 35r, the 24v shares same traits as hta35.

Hot Tight Ass turbo FTW. I was wondering when you would get your car on that dyno.

Happy Thanksgiving Buschur family and friends.

Jeff, ease up on that drinking bud
