I've seen that....and thats exactly what I did. Run it HARD! Vary the RPM's just dont hold a steady RPM. Run it to the limiter.

I have done that on every car, every bike, friends bike, families car, bike, etc etc.

I firmly believe in LONG warm ups, and LONG cool downs, with a couple of oil changes in there, along with the Amsoil changeover in my Evo, at least.


I drag raced my bike, stunted one of the bikes, daily drove my Evo, and beat the holy hell out of everything.....

On the contrary, I have a friend who insisted he knew better and babied his STi like it was a Toyota Corolla. What happened? Blew up......


then again! It was an STi, hahaha. I see more problems coming from engines who haven't followed at least this way of breaking in to some degree......
