If you add a fuel pump after the tune you can throw off the AFR's.

Depending on boost level and the intake air temperatures, you can over-run the stock pump easily under the correct conditions.

Thx.... we are not done tuning yet he is actually waiting for me to get the fuel pump before we continue.

I was curious as to how much of an affect the fuel pump will add to the tuning process since my injectors are stock.

He changed his policy after Stew blew his engine with a stock pump.

Get the pump.

In that order.

the pump is relatively cheap, will lay the ground work for a long time to come, until you outflow the fuel pump, and its an easy install for the most part.

It will enable you to tune a little more agressively, and thats always a good thing.

good plan, wait for the pump. With enough boost and cold weather, even on stock injectors, the walbro vs. stock pump will make a difference at high injector duty cycles and throw off the tune.

I've seen just the pump for like 80 - 100 bucks, quick question: Do you need to get the pump with the "evo specific" install kit or can you go with just the general kit. I'd rather spend 80 bucks than 120 bucks if I can help it. Thanks.
