i didn't think the 4G63 head could take over 12mm of lift without serious work to the topend??

also why more lift on the exhaust??

Chris.

We were doing a cam test last week on a DSM and one of the cams we had in the test were the BC280 camshafts... All i can say is that Brian Crower doesnt know the first thing about lobe design, nore does he care about what works in the head or whats happening with valve train. from what the cam doctor told me i would say that he is grabing large numbers out of the sky and trys to push the bigger is better idea to try and sell product.. The other thing that i noticed with BC was that his cam card was WAY off to the actual specs of the camshaft.

now on to a supposed 288 with a 222 1mm and 11.88mm of lift and 12.10mm exhaust... anything over 11.5mm is pretty much a waste of time with an evo head the 288 with a 222 is going to be pretty tough on the valves with that much lift and you better have a spring with around 120lbs @ the seat to hang with it...
