Perrin High Flow Cat

I was wondering will this cat throw a code since its bigger than the stock one. Cause I plan on still using the co2 sensor. So if I hook the co2 sensor back up will it throw any type of code?

It will most likey throw a code after a while, although no code will be "thrown" if you ustilize a mechanical o2 fix

Many cats that flow higher than stock throw the 0420 code.

I have the Perrin HFC and I did get several check engine light. I added the O2 'mechanical fix' and it no longer throws the code.

Its a Oxygen sensor. Not a CO sensor.

Not trying to be an ***.

A CReader is more expensive, but will also work.

I used the "o2sensor simulator" and havnt had any problems. I think the website is o2simulator.com its an easy install and it takes care of any future code problems. Cheap too!

i am currently using that cat in combo with an HKS Carbon Ti catback and invidia 3" downpipe.

it will occasionally throw the 420 code, and i am not sure why.

i will go months without seeing it, then once in a while, seemingly out of nowhere it will throw it, and if i reset it, or just drive around for a while it goes away.

my only guess is that weather has something to do with it. it seems more prone to happen when it is really hot ouside, like 90+, or when it is really cold outside, like 25 or below. but like i said, only occasionally.

generally it is good about it though, and i passed inspection at the dealer with it, so it's a good choice for a high flow.

My bad on mixing those two up. It was late at night and had a long *** night. So should I just get flashed out, or get the o2 mechanical fix thing?

I have the Perrin HFC and Downpipe. It didn't throw a cel until recently. I did the mechanical fix which is very easy to do and its been fine ever since.

just get 2 spark plug anti foulers, drill one out with a 1/2 inch drill bit. screw the drilled out one onto your o2 sensor, screw the other one on top of that and then screw the whole thing into your exhaust. (exhale) I forget the thread size though, for the anti foulers.
