*HELP* Boost issues after installation - NOW IT DOESN'T RUN!!

Well we just got done installing all my piping and the new hotside, BOV, fuel pump, etc (mods in sig). So after firing it up and the like, went for a drive and now I will basically build no boost until about 6000 RPM, at which point it will either build almost full boost at 20 psi or it will be stuck at 8-10 psi....

any advice? do I have a boost leak or is there something else that I should be looking for? The forge RS blows off just fine even on low boost, so I don't think that would be the issue. I am using the stock boost control system, no mbc

if you want to find a leak/eliminate that from your trouble shooting...boost leak test your car. Then move to bov to make sure it's in the correct orientation...then check wastegate. See if you can run at wastegate pressure. Why are you using the stock bc again??

Well the BOV is in the correct way, the side that had the piston down was attached to the UICP, other part is into the intake hardpipe. Tomorrow I am going to try to check all my t-bolt clamps and all that jazz. I am using the stock BC basically because the tunes I am using/going to use are using the stock BC. I don't see anything wrong with using that over an MBC

Please keep the ideas coming...I need all the help I can get. could this be caused by having too little wastegate actuator preload? I have a forge unit that got here today that I was planning to put on there tomorrow.

yeah I am pretty sure I do too....this morning on the way to work it was building no boost at all, maybe 5 psi at most. This is frustrating, but I hope I can find it tonight. I am also going to put on that new WGA tonight, hopefully without issue.

Anything else I should check for tonight, other than leaks?

where do you have the vacuum line for the BOV hooked to? if thats not hooked up the BOV will open extremely early.

essentially sense your on stock ECU i presume, a boost leak so big you can only boost 5psi your car would barely run if run at all. i suspect you have another issue. check the wastegate arm, actuator and flapper if possible as well.

Sounds like a Wastegate preload issue. It will keep you from making much boost and will delay spool a ton.

I am going to replace the WGA tonight with my forge to rule that out. I would hope the flapper is alright, cause I really don't want to take that housing off again. the BOV nipple is hooked up to the breather port on the manifold....whatever that is called (excuse my term ignorance). It does sound a bit weird, very high pitched and chirpy when it lets the boost out......frustrating

Only way to know if its a boost leak is to test. Its not hard. Test it & you will know right off the bat where it is... because its leaking somewhere, and your loosing alot of power.

I plan to do that after work today, going to go over all the couplers and check those, if that doesn't solve it I will have to get the parts to do an actual leak test.

Alright, well I fixed the boost leak....car was making targets really nicely. I was doing some WOT runs and at the top of one of them about 21 psi It feels like the car just hit a wall, hear a pop and it falls flat on it's face. I went off the throttle and everything resumed as planned. So later on driving home I heard the same noise at about half throttle, car fell flat again, but this time it had to be limped back to my place.
So now when I start it it sputters and if I don't pump the throttle it just dies on me. I can't really drive it at all because the engine continually dies out.....it will run if i pump the throttle (although like ****) but yeah...it's not going anywhere right now...

I need this car for work tomorrow

Sounds like you blew of an I/C coupling. Check over all your I/C piping and find the one that's disconnected.
