Hey guys a buddy of mine has a 06' EVO (non MR) and he just bought a Turbo XS cat back. I was searching around ebay and came accross a downpipe for $69.00 and a high flow cat for $30.00. I was thinking of getting these for him for xmas but thought i woudl get your opinions. I realize there are way better brands and these are probably not that great but for the price he can use them for a while and then by something nice.

Would I be wasting my money? Oh, and is there a difference between the 05' and 06' EVO's downpipe?

 

There is a difference in the 03-04 downpipes to the 05-06 ones. Make sure it is for an 05-06 or else it will rub.

Otherwise its a good present!

 

i had horrible problems with the ebay downpipes, it worked fine for a while but then the flex shaft broke in and it started hitting the bottom of the car making ahorrible noise, just be careful with the fitment on it
