I'm pretty sure nitrous makes power by adding oxygen (air) to the combustion charge. Anyway, the post above was just saying (I think) that when tuning as long as you have not gone past the limits of your fuels octane then more boost will always add more power than adjusting timing or fuel will, and that is generally a true statement I think.

Oxygen is the stuff in the air that your car uses for combustion. Sorry for the misstatement.

25 psi... wow. i'm at 1.2 bar.... peak and just split second... I think it's just 16.8 psi. I wonder what he can do with 21 psi and above. I'm envious. hehe.

@sabastian, thanks for the info.... It must be excruciating for the engineer hearing my noob whining about needing more boost when he knows what he's doing.. but hey, that's part of his job.
nice sig/quotes btw.
The one that I used is the tee in the BOV line and the other hose to the wastegate. I can PM you the link to the grpah if you don't know which one is it.

I'm running 25psi and the logs look very clean, but the gasoline over here is 95 octane ( (RON + MON)/2) ), which should be a little more than the 93 in the US, I think.

I'm glad you're amused. You didn't miss the sarcasm - there was none. But you obviously missed my point. So let me repeat, more air = more power. And let me ask you further - what do you think nitros is short for? I really hope you know...
Also NOS is a brand name, fyi.

I believe nitros are what you buy in the video game "offroad" when you want a power boost. Nitrous is an oxygenated combustable fluid that you spray either wet or dry into your intake system. Off the top of my head I believe it's something like 35% oxygen where as "air" is 20% oxygen.

Just think about this, and if you want to have a discussion about it we certainly can via pm

Two cars, two different stock motors, same turbo. One makes 290hp at 18psi the other makes 290hp at 10psi. Why is that?

"Oxygenated combustible fluid" ?? Are you serious?! Instead of arguing with me you should learn some chemistry which you obviously didn't in your high school. Well at least you googled that it has 33% oxygen in it (I'm sorry - took it "off top your head" ) So that should have explaned everything to you, yet you continue trying to make some meaningless point...

I made 340 at the wheels on 22 psi. What now?

Since you seem so apt to correct others, allow me to do the same.

Nitrous oxide is not an oxygenated "combustable" (sic) fluid as you would claim. It is an accelerant. It is completely non-combustible.

Owned.

I feel dirty for filling this thread with all this banter.
